TAMIYA XB 1/10 R/C Subaru XV (XV-01) RTR SUV, Subaru Style! This is a R/C model assembly kit of the XV, a car Subaru introduced to the crossover SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) market in September 2012. The polycarbonate body accurately reproduces the car’s stylish form, including the distinctive indentations on the bonnet and the raised area that stretches from the nose to the tail. It also faithfully replicates the SUV-style fenders. The unique wheel design is depicted using stickers, and the model features racing radial tires with realistic tread patterns. The flexible front motor belt-driven XV-01 chassis allows the driver to take the XV for a spin both on- and off-road! Rally-Ready XV-01 Chassis The XV-01 chassis offers exciting R/C driving action on both tarmac and gravel surfaces. It features a front-motor, belt-driven 4WD layout with the gearboxes, drive belt, battery, and R/C unit areas protected by covers against dirt and debris. Holes in the bottom of the chassis further help remove any debris which manages to get onboard, ensuring unhindered off-road performance. Long steering linkage provides stable wheel alignment. In addition, detachable wheel well liners help prevent mud and gravel intrusion. Gear differential units enable customization with different viscosities of differential oils. A glance at the rear reveals the sharp, powerful form of the car reproduced in fine detail, including bumper and diffuser. Battery can be removed from the underside of the model, with connectors stored safely in the hatch. R/C mechanism, battery and drive belt are all protected by a highly effective dust-proof cover.
